Teaching and Learning for 2030 project

Since 2016, EDiversity has carried out hands-on learning education projects in various local primary schools. In 2019, EDiversity rolled out the learning by doing project through parent education, teacher training, and course curriculum reshaping. The project encourages schools to seek breakthroughs in teaching and create a student-centered learning environment. The project has achieved outstanding results and won the UNESCO「Happy Schools! Project」in 2019. Some of the project’s teaching materials have also been recognized by the Education Bureau and included in the General Studies Curriculum Guide for Primary Schools.

Knowledge-focused learning has long been criticized as a massive block to students’ whole-person development. The Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation, together with the Swire Group Charitable Trust (HK) and Drs Richard Charles & Esther Yewpick Lee Charitable Foundation, supported the Teaching and Learning for 2030 project. Aiming to nurture a cultural change in Hong Kong’s Education system.

In support of the project, The Education University of Hong Kong is engaged to conduct an outcome research study to investigate its effectiveness.
