The elderly are generally associated with stereotypes such as “slow-moving” and “injury-prone.” Baseball, as one of the few slow-paced and fewer collisions team sports emphasizing communication and cooperation, its characteristic provides a vulnerable opportunity for the elderly to pick up the driver’s seat and work out with youngsters.

The Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation joined hands with the Lee Kam Kee Family Foundation to support Empathy for Elderly in setting up the “Hong Kong Intergenerational Baseball League,” aiming to encourage golden age elderly and youngsters to live a healthy lifestyle and pursue their dreams.
