Early treatment required in face of "red alert" on mental health during the coronavirus outbreak
Almost three years into a pandemic, many adults are facing a lot of stress but are busy with their livelihood, resulting in symptoms such as depression and anxiety. In fact, when the physical condition experience sleep deprived, tiredness, depression, nervousness, difficulty in concentration, or even loss of self-confidence or hope for two weeks or more, the mental health condition may have signaled a “red alert”.
New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association’s Psychiatric Medical Subsidy and Community Support Project, jointly funded by the Chow Tai Fook Medical Foundation, the Fu Tak Iam Foundation and the Shih Wing Ching Foundation, aims to subsidise people aged 18 or above with financial difficulties who are waiting psychiatric services in public hospitals to receive early treatment from private psychiatrists.
